After an emotional and busy week at the hospital and a number of hours working at the store, I looked forward to a day off from work on Saturday and Sunday dinner with my nephew and his family.
On Saturday, I awoke early as usual and worked tirelessly to organize and clean my house. After a trip to Home Depot for several bags of black mulch for the rose garden, I spent the afternoon enjoying my work in the garden on a warm but windy day.
After feeling the fatigue of many months of cold weather and snowstorms, I am happy to be able to spend some time working on my garden.
I am now quietly enjoying the evening reading Wilkie Collins’ The Fallen Leaves with little Miss Sofia curled up by my side on the sofa.
All in all, it was a good day.
